The coming of the CPOE came with several benefits and advantages to both Mount Auburn and Emory, which tremendously changed the way in which general quality of service is rendered. Using the ordering process as an example, the need to call out drugs to nurses for them to write and re-confirm by orally calling them out to doctors, which slowed the care process was eradicated.
